Axe 4.0.1 was released on 04-Apr-2014 (v4.0.1.55)
Introduction
This wiki page compliments the Release Notes (ReadMe.rtf) provided with the Axe 4.0.1 product release. It's primary purpose is to provide the latest information on the product and details of any issues that have been identified post-release.
Axe 4.0 Overview
Axe 4.0 is a radical new version of the Axe Automation Platform. It includes a completely new fully-integrated user interface that incorporates all Axe functionality into a single Integrated Test Environment (ITE). There is a new Object Mapper tool for creating generic object maps for browser applications.
Selenium WebDriver is now bundled with Axe meaning that Axe provides a 'one-stop shop' for web application testing.
Axe 4.0 also includes full integration with the latest version of Visual Studio and TFS (2013).
To get the best out of Axe 4.0 we recommend working with the Excel XLSX file format in preference to the XML 2003 format. A project converter utility is provided with Axe to assist with migration.
