Advice on Axe Int Coded UI

Hello,

Could you please advice with which version of Coded UI AXE integrates with. Am actually using Visual Studio 2012, with which Axe is coming up with lots of missing file errors.

Would be appreciated for any information.

Thanks,

Hi Lavanya,

Axe works with both VS2010 and VS2012 CodedUI. Note that VS2012 support was added in Axe 3.4 which Sim-Shipped with VS2012 in September, so please make sure you are using the latest Axe version.

Thanks for the information. Currently am using Axe 3.4, but when am building a test, the build is successful but results with a pop up - cannot find few codedui dll files. and with which run RUN option in AXE gets diabled.

Look forward for some help.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Lavanya,

Have you got the correct TOOL defined in the BuildConfig file? Please see the section in the release notes under 'Upgrading from Axe 3.3' called 'Microsoft Integrations'.

If you are still having problems, please can you provide the exact error message that you are getting and the settings in your BuildConfig.

thanks

Hi Sam,

Have got the correct TOOL in BuildConfig.

option            value
TOOL            CodedUICSharp

Build is successful but the run option is disabled because of the missing dll files. Has got 28 dll files with the installation of Visual studio 2012 in the below path in Public Assemblies Folder. Where can I get all the dll files that support Axe.

---------------------------
Axe Error
---------------------------
Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\PublicAssemblies\Microsoft.VisualStudio.QualityTools.CodedUITestFramework.dll'.
---------------------------
OK

Thanks,

Hi Lavanya,

If you are using VS2012 then then TOOL entry in you Axe BuildConfig file should be CodedUI2012CSharp.

Please refer to the OdinPortal samples, online samples (www.axesamples.com) and Axe product documentation for more information and examples of using Axe with both VS2010 and VS2012.
