Regular Expression is passing for part of the text with out .*

Hi,
I used 'val.RegExp' as action with part of the text in data (example: to test 'Thomas' word in St Thomas school).
And the result is pass.

Question:
Is above regular expression the way I used is correct?
My assumption was to have .* before and after the text in  data column.

AXE: 3.3
selenium-dotnet-2.16.0
Integration with: CSharp
