Axe Harness Object Maps

Hi

Having been through the User Guide with respect to Axe Harness testing, the Web Service Testing Classes page shows an example object map with the following column headings:
name, class, service, operation, namespace, xpath

However, on creation of a new AxeHarness project for Web Services, the Object map headings created are:
name, class, parent, desc, recstring

Could you clarify what the difference between the maps is please and which version should be used?

Thanks

Hi Mark,

It looks like the incorrect template file is being used by the New project wizard for this project type, I would work with the Demo one, perhaps copy and paste this one and remove the entries. I will raise this with the development team.

Thanks,

Duncan

Thanks Duncan - It looks like the template Action Map is not created by the wizard either - maybe the dev guys could take a look at the whole process and fix where necessary?

Hi Mark,

The reason we dont provide a local ActionMap with the wizard is that there arent really that many things you can customise using the native (xml script) harness. If you need to create custom harness actions then it is better to use the AxeHarness API which is effectively included with all the other(non-legacy) tooland language integrations anyway.
