Single Datasheet for one Test

Is it possible to fecth the data from one  sheet for all subtest called/used in test.
Currently we are using datasheets based on number of subtests used in test. Say if we used 3 subtests in test, For covering one single test scenario, we are creating  data rows in 3 data sheeets (related to subtest)

Hi,

Yes, there are many different ways you can do this.
As a starting point, check out the load/save actions in the Axe User Guide. Also take a look at build.load combined with the datasource option. Examples of these are also included in the standard OdinPortal sample.
More advanced techniques can include extracting the data from a database or Excel spreasheet via an ODBC connection. See AxeHarness for further information on how to access databases from Axe subtests.

"ProjectData:Sheet1 TestId %TESTID%" is mentioned in 'data source' column in subtest.'projectData' is the excel book name and 'Sheet1' is sheet name where the data is retrived for subtest. Is there any way we can customize these values. Getting the data  from different sheet for the same sub test?

Hi,

The worksheet name cannot be parameterised when you are using the builit-in Axe static datasource. However, it would be possible for an automation technician to implement some custom dynamic datasource functionality to provide something like this.
