Robot 2003.06.00
IE 6

Could you please let me know that is there a max length for the recstring in the object map ?

Hi Vijay,

Any restriction will most likely be within Robot itself. Maybe if you check with IBM Rational or one of the Robot forums you can find out the limit? Axe does not impose any limit on the length. But you might encounter restrictions in Excel if values exceed 1024 characters (see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel/HP051992911033.aspx).

It is pretty unusual to encounter recstrings that are much longer than 50 characters. If you are having a problem with a really long value then maybe you can find some other property to identify the object, or use a regular expression.
