Problem in launching the application through Axe-QTP

Hi,

Just a brief you about the test, i am trying to test the login screen of a window application. I have created my Axe test to test the scenario. When i execute the test, QTP gets started but it's unable to launch the window application. Do I have to write my own custom function to launch the application or is there any option in Axe to support this issue.

Thanks,
Gaurav

Hi Gaurav,

The actions required to start/restart applications are known as 'basestates' in Axe. Basestate actions for web browser applications are provided out-of-the-box with Axe because they tend to be generic. However most windows applications are different and have different requirements. So you will need to create your own function in QTP and hook it up to Axe via the Action Map. See the section on 'Basestates' in the Axe User Guide for mor information.
