Although the excel plug-in indicated a successful installation, I don't see it in the toolbars. I am using Axe 2.0.2.622 and Excel 2003. Any thoughts?
Thanks, -Kirk
Hi Kirk,
There may be a few reasons why this happens, usually down to windows security policies. Here are some things to try: 1. Check the Add-In is not "hard disabled": http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms268871.aspx 2. Check the following registry keys have been created by the install: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\AxeExcelAddIn HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\AxeExcelAddIn\ If not - There should be a file in the ExcelAddIn folder under the Axe installation folder called : AxeExcelAddInHKLMRegEntries.reg Close Excel, then running this file (double click) as an administrator should add the relevant entries in the registry. You can then check the keys that were mentioned previously to confirm it's effectiveness. Then start Excel and see if the Add-In is loaded. Let me know if this resolves the issue. Thanks, Duncan |
