max number of TestIDs in the Test sheet ..

hi,

I've a scenario as below:

I've 4 test sheets and each test sheet having 350 rows.
(each row is a combination of various subtests)

I've created Run table, and put all of them eg. 1400 tests.

While compiling, it didnt give any problems.

but while executing, it invokes the robot application and disappears.

When I run them one test sheet at once, it runs fine. i.e. 350 rows in Test Sheet.

I'm using 1.5.4 and robot 2003.06.00 on windows.

Could you please suggest me.

Hi Vijay,

It sounds like you have been making excellent progress with Axe on your automated test project. It is always great to hear of people going beyond 1000 tests.

Axe has no limit on the number of tests it can build or run. So in this case it sounds like you have reached a limit imposed by Robot. Since Robot is now regarded as a legacy tool it is very unlikely any such restrictions will be lifted. So the best work-around in your case would be split the run up into smaller segments, as you have done. In order to 'build and run' in a single click you can create a simple batch file to call axecmd multiple times via the command-line.

FYI, Axe 2.0 has some additional results tools which allow you to merge result sets and generate master summary reports. These could be useful in your case.
