Axe vs Certify comparison

can anyone tell me what the main differences are between Axe and Certify ?

I am currently research as to which tool + framework would best suit a number of clients that are starting to go down the automation (keyword approach).

Hi Diego,

We at Odin have not had any hands-on experience of the Certify product although we are certainly aware of it. A really good source of information on Axe and Certify would be the recent report from Ovum entitled 'A new breed of test automation tools'. The report evaluates a number of such tools and includes Axe and Certify as well as Mercury's BPT and a few others. More details at:

I believe that one of the key differentiators with Axe is that we use Excel to define the tests rather than a proprietary interface and format. This makes it very easy for non-technical testers to use since most are already familiar with Excel. This was one of the key benefits highlighted by the Ovum report.

Regards,

Sam
