Generating Object maps from Silk test

We have a frame.inc file created by Borland SilkTest.

When we try to generate an object map from it (using the Design Subtest facility in the Axe Excel Addin) we get an error message pop up 'Failed to Load Object Map: frame.inc'. Sometimes (despite this error message) the windows and some top-level controls appear in the 'Select objects' pane of the Design Subtest dialog.

Any ideas what may be wrong? Is there any documentation available on how to integrate with SilkTest?

Hi Jeremy,

First things to check are the following:

* Do you have any duplicate window names?
* Are you using any non-ascii characters in the object names? (or indeed something use of punctuation can cause issues).

You can email the file to support@odin.co.uk during the evaluation period for us to take a look.

Thanks,

Duncan

There are duplicate control names - but these are child controls where the names are unique to the parent (so the 'full' name may well be unique?).

Sending file to address indicated.

Thanks

Jeremy,

It would appear that you will need to have unique names even though they are unique within their own heirarchy.

We (well Ian P actually) have corrected your .inc file and I have sent that as part of a seperate email. In the absence of access to the application we have renamed the "Logical" object names to be unique although they may not make sense (1_2, 1_3 etc.).

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further queries.

Cheers,

Danny
