Hi Smita,
You would get an error like this if the Axe API wasnt registered. Are you sure you have installed the full Axe product on the machine and not just the Excel AddIn? Sam

Hi Smita,
There could be something wrong with the format of your object map file. Can you load the object map cleanly in Axe itself? i.e. is it referenced in a config file that you have used to build tests from? What execution tool are you using and with what object map format? What is the exact version of Axe you are using? (FYI, there is a completely new Excel AddIn in Axe 2.0 with lots of new features.) Sam
Hi,
I'm using 1.5.4 and its full version. I've tried with a simple object map like, name class recstring 111 window Caption=wincaption 111.a edit HTMLId=abcd 111.b button HTMLId=xyz and name of the worksheet is ObjectMap and it is only the worksheet wavailable in this workbook. It is saved as 'XML worksheet' While loading the object map into the excel sheet, it is loaded and window name appears, but upon clicking on the Generate button, it throws the error. in the process above no need to add object map entry in the config file right ? any way I did it and same error throws again. Previously everything was fine. But, I've added some free addins available in the net like, duplicate remover in excel, merge cell values, find and replace in multiple worksheets at a time etc.. Would it be aproblem ? suggest me.

Hi Smita,
It sounds like you have answered your own question i.e the problem has been caused by one of the free third party addins you installed. I suggest you remove the add-ins one by one until you find out which one caused it. The new Axe AddIn in Axe 2.0 uses VSTO instead of VBA so there is a chance it might play better. If you send us the info on the offending AddIn we can check out out. Sam
hi,
I've tried by uninstalling all the free addins for excel. But, the error still appears. I've uninstalled IE7. Now I'm able to load the object map and the error got disappeared. Thanks Smita Monday, July 28, 2008 |
